It’s my last week volunteering at the Hampstead Gown Factory and together we’ve cut and stitched over 45,000 (and counting) PPE surgical gowns for the staff of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. I had the chance to meet all kinds of people and each and every volunteer had a different story to tell. I’ll always be grateful for the endless patience of those that managed us volunteers (my sewing abilities were not exactly top-notch when I first started) and for the chance to make new friends from all walks of life!
